Release Date: 22nd May, 2018
Blurb: “Because us? Psychopaths and sinners… we don’t need fixing, Gray.”
Three bodies, three mutilations, each one with something… unusual inserted into the wounds. The deaths are enough to leave Ash Thomas scrambling around to find someone to trust as the murders hit so close to home and heart.
For Gray Raoul, MI5 director of G-Branch, the deaths offer something else, a fall back into a familiar life where culling serial killers cater to his own darker mindset. But the farther Gray moves away from home, the more he realises serial killer games in the field are nothing compared to who he has locked up back at home. Sometimes walking the fine line between psychopaths and live-in lovers is a far darker game.
For Ash, that might just mean he’s on his own now, facing a killer who has a deadly fascination for pretty young men and dancing Holly Blue butterflies over their skin.

Author Bio: Jack L. Pyke blames her dark writing influences on living close to one of England’s finest forests. Having grown up hearing a history of kidnappings, murders, strange sightings, and sexual exploits her neck of the woods is renowned for, Jack takes that into her writing, having also learned that human coping strategies for intense situations can sometimes make the best of people have disastrously bad moments. Redeeming those flaws is Jack’s drive, and if that drive just happens to lead to sexual tension between two or more guys, Jack’s the first to let nature take its course.

The Psychopaths & Sinners’ Blog Tour
Post: Sleeping with Psychopaths: the reader & the psychopaths .
Huge thanks to Books Laid Bare Boys for hosting the fourth day of my tour! Yesterday I was at Kimmer’s Erotic Book Banter http://kimmerseroticbookb.wixsite.com/kimmerseroticbb#, sleeping with Gray! Tomorrow I’m over at Diverse Reader http://diversereader.blogspot.co.uk/, looking at dark symbolism with the cullers! Please join me there too!
Today I’m looking at readers who sleep with psychopaths, and what questions the Don’t series ignites for them, And they’ve going for a pretty intense grilling!
Debra: When is Jan going to catch a break???
Oh maaan! Yeah. I know, he seriously needs one. And this is such a tough question without giving away spoilers, but I will say that Jan is naturally drawn towards a darker strain of life and disaster, and it hurts him so much. But he’s imperative to Gray and Jack’s survival, and his own. As a triad, they’re locked together now so tightly, and if Jan walks at any point, he’s that integral to Gray and Jack’s survival, the rest would degenerate and self-destruct without him. He’s got such a different strength compared to Gray, Jack, and Martin, softer… more normal… but it is a strength, something that will hopefully find a way to pull them all back from the edge and cut all of them the break they desperately need.
Katerina: Why did Gray go back home, to Wales, for so long? If I remember correctly, he was gone for two months. What was he doing there? Did he ever think he wouldn't return?
I love this part of Gray and Martin’s darker history. Gray went back to Wales just after Martin had stabbed him. For Gray it was either break away at that point, or walk away. He’d slept with Martin, thinking it was Jack, and that was Gray’s first time sleeping with Jack. Martin took that from him, and Gray Knew it would be something that Jack wouldn’t know had happened. So in a way, it broke Gray’s Dom’s lifestyle: always getting permission off his sub when it comes to touching him. After that, Gray didn’t intend to go to Wales for so long, but Martin followed him there. What happened between them there cut more into Gray, and the guilt kept him away from Jack for so long. I think on a rational level, Gray wouldn’t have gone back: he knows how bad he falls around Martin. But then that means walking away from Jack, and on a subconscious level, Gray will always feel the pull back to Jack, and to Martin in his own right. As for what did happen between Gray and Martin in Wales… that might be too dark for even me to get into! Maybe!
Lisa: Is Jack’s mother, Elena dead? Or locked away somewhere? Or are we not really supposed to know?
Oh yes, she’s definitely dead! It was covered briefly in Backlash, in how Gray got a Call off Ferryman, saying Elena had been taken care of. It’s certainly going to be interesting seeing Jack’s reaction to that!
Kimberly: How do Gray & Jan see their relationship if Jack doesn’t return?
The answer to this is sooo complex!! With Jan not being into the BDSM lifestyle and Gray a Dom, there’d definitely be… frustrations and fears. That’s something they can work with, though. However, it’s the culler side to Gray that’s the concern, especially if Martin does stick around. Badness attracts badness, digs in and doesn’t let go. And the longer Martin’s around, the deeper the infection burns between Gray and Martin. The question is just how much would that poison Jan in the long run.
Katerina. You speak to all my senses while writing. And you play with scents. For example, Baz’s aftershave and triggering Martin, or when Gray was with Ash and spoke to Raif's senses - Raif knew there was someone who didn't belong there at Ash’s home: Gray. Jack used to use CK one, and Gray has a whole collection of colognes/aftershaves - Jack sorted them by color and shape. So… which is Gray’s favorite fragrance?
Oh boy… scent is so important in Jack’s world: it takes him down in so many ways! So it becomes important to Gray’s world too. When Jack and Jan were kidnapped and raped together in the same bed, Vince (the rapist) always wore Jan’s cologne and instilled in Jack that Jan was only in his world during a drug-induced, nightmare state. The implications of that once Gray got them back saw Jack degenerate psychologically every time Jan got close to him, or tried too. It didn’t matter that Jan changed his cologne to stop triggering Jack and bringing out Martin. Jack had to go through months of scent-association in the psychiatric unit for him to realise Jan no longer wore the same cologne. It was tough on the head and heart to see him breathe Jan in eventually and notice Jan wore a different cologne, even though Jan had worn the new one for over five months.
So with Gray? His favourite on knowing how scent and environment can be exploited to calm or manipulate a subject, with knowing how much hurt Jack and Jan have taken over scent games, over the games he’ll always play himself as an MI5 director of counterterrorism, and also a culler, maybe more so a culler -- he’ll look at Jan and Jack first, then his own taste, I think. Although he is biased toward Pierre Bourdon’s Ambre Topkapi, which carries that lovely sandalwood and woodland walk with it.
Debra: I had a similar question. What if the Jack 2.0 they get back, if they get him back, has more Martin to him than Jack. Where does the relationship go from there?
Hmmm, what if more personalities are formed!! What if Jack becomes lost in so many others! There are so many possibilities here, so many fears, I think. With Gray and Jan, they’re just trying to stay focused in the now, on what they have known over the unknown. Gray gets dark over the unknown, and playing with the what ifs could lead him bad places, Jan too. So I think they’re trying to stay focused on getting Jack back, living one day at a time. Not getting Jack is part of the reality of the situation, but it’s pushed as far away as possible. Always hope, right? There has to be.
