This is a beautiful story about two men who fell in love as boys but never really stood a chance.
Damien always knew he wanted Nate and although Nate felt the same he didn't think he could live with the shame of coming out.
He left things badly when he moved away and even though they hooked up occasionally when he came home, Damien was never going to stand for being a hidden love forever.
Moving back permanently made them face a reality they had been avoiding for years and it's only when Nate's nephew runs away that they realise they can't be apart.
Funny how an awful situation can make you face up to a reality you have been trying to hide from.
I loved this book and would happily have followed their story as they grew older together.
