This book deals with the older man/younger man scenario that I love. Both shy and unsure, they tentatively seek out each others company and gradually realise there could be a spark.
When Alex moves to a small bay in New Zealand he thinks it's to get away from all his issues and cut himslef off, never thinking that the shy man he sees on the beach might be the one to pull him out of himself and see a future.
For Joe, he can't see how he would fit in with Alex and tries to keep his distance. The thing is, on a small bay there's only so far you can run!!!
A lovely, well written little book.
