DAX'S DESIRE by Hannah Walker

This is the 3rd book in the Avanti Chronicles series and yet again does not disappoint.

I read this book quite a while ago as I was lucky enough to be given it before release. It has taken me ages to write the review as I feel that I know these men personally and I don't want to let them down.

When you get immersed in their stories, they make you feel like family and you never want to leave them.

It is a very special series and I will be devastated when their adventures are over.

In this book we get to share the story of Commander Daxin Rydoc or Dax to his closest friends.

He has led his team through many battles and is a strong alpha male.

As they travel across the Landren landscape with King Kastian and his men, they encounter some old friends in trouble.

When Kastian sees the softer side of Dax as he helps the children, he starts to feel more than just friendship for the brave warrior.

Being a man in charge of his own people, these two are the perfect match, both strong and worthy.

He had never considered who he might be attracted to before, male or female but with Dax he knew that he was liked for himself and not his status.

As they face old enemies and problems together we get to see their relationship develop.

All the other guys make an appearance in the book which makes the storyline even better.

When people find a mate on this planet it is for life and it is lovely to see how they are all getting along and watch as their families begin to grow.

Both men share the heavy burden of leadership and find comfort in each others arms.

However when a particularly devious woman returns their feelings are tested to the limit.

She has tried many times and failed to lure these men but the devastation that she leaves behind this time is difficult to see.

All of this makes for a perfect mix, the right amount of love, lust and betrayal.

Throw in a masked ball, some very hot men in costumes and an adorable little boy and his soft toy and you have a fantastic read.

I can't wait for book four as I can guarantee it will be just as good, if not better.

5 out of 5 stars.
