I’m new to Marissa Holt and havent yet read the other books in this series, but I still really enjoyed Southern Brit. It was a funny, feisty, and thoroughly enjoyable story.

Flynn is the main character. He’s trying to get over being dumped by what he thought was the love of his life, and decides he’s going to remain celibate for the foreseeable future. His friends are somewhat skeptical as Flynn has historically enjoyed many hook-ups and generally loves sex. Along comes a hot Mancunian called Royal to test Flynn’s latest resolve to remain single and sex free.

Royal has come to the US to visit his brother, who happens to be Flynn’s ex boyfriend, who ironically has moved to London. Finding himself stranded and at a loose end, Royal convinces Flynn to let him stay at Flynn’s apartment. What follows is a test of wills and heated attraction.

Can’t Flynn keep his vow? Can Royal make him believe that he genuinely fancies him? When they embark on a no-strings week of debauchery, the heat factor shoots off the scale and the fun times begin.

A well written story with good characters and great dialogue. Flynn is fabulous and fierce but had a sweet vulnerable side to him. Royal is smart and sexy and a bit of a rogue. Reading how these two clash in bad ways and good ones, made for a very enjoyable few hours!
