Frank: Daddy Bear 3 by BJ Smyth
This is book 3 in the Daddy Bear series from author BJ Smyth. I enjoyed the first two books very much and was looking forward to reading the story from Frank's point of view.
The dynamic between Carter and Frank is what appealed to me so much in the last book, and I was hoping for just a bit more insight. Was Frank always a Daddy, or did Carter bring that out in him? I was curious to find out more of Frank's background.I especially would've liked to have gotten inside Frank's head a bit more, to understand what it was that motivated him to go from an 18 year relationship with a man his own age, to a much younger, less experienced boy.
The story was literally the same except it was told by Frank, not Carter. The one thing that was different was the interaction between Frank and Brandon, Carter's flatmate, which was interesting.
In terms of writing style, there were some repeats that I found irritating and also the author's habit of using full words, rather than conversational. For instance 'I will' instead of 'I'll'.
I did enjoy the book because I liked the familiarity of already knowing the characters, and of course, the sex is hot and explicit. I will definitely read Book 4 when it comes out, as I'm keen to find out how their relationship develops.
