Auctioned by Cara Dee

As part of Team shiMMer, I feel like I am duty bound to read something from the new authors attending in Feb 2019. For some reason, I have never read anything by Cara Dee, who I know is an extremely popular author. In one of my groups on FB, Auctioned was being mentioned quite a lot, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Oh. My. Lorrrrrrrd!

It appealed to me on every level. Whilst not quite taboo, it was certainly not for the faint of heart. And I loved it. I didn't;t realise it was a spin off from another series, but it didn't matter at all and did not affect my enjoyment of the book. The main characters are Gray, a 20year old Hockey/student who gets kidnapped by a sex trafficking ring, and Darius, his 43 year old rescuer who appears in the guise of a buyer. The story takes place mostly on a luxury yacht where appalling and debased activity is the norm.

Boys are bought for pleasuring the most vile men the human race vomited on to the earth. It is their joy to humiliate and torture others and the sex traffickers behind the 'auction' have organised a cruise for just this purpose. Gray is one of the boys and Darius os one of the buyers. But all is not what it seems and what follows is a thrilling roller coaster read, filled with sex, angst, pain, debauchery, humour, bloodthirsty action, more pain and sex and debauchery, and a very captivating storyline.

There is more to come with Gray and Darius and I simply cannot wait for my next fix.
